With Expo Just Days Away, NY Rep Announces Addition of Joe Kane Seminar

Prominent NY Metro Rep Firm Audio Associates Sets Expo for Aug. 12/13

The company has been holding this event every year for the last seven years and it has become quite popular with area dealers.

And this year, Audio Associates kicks it up a notch by holding the Expo at the posh Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey near the ever-popular Atlantic City.

Core Brands Completes Downsizing of National Sales Force

Nortek's Core Brands LogoStrata-gee.com heard this week from multiple sources that Core Brands had completed the analysis phase of its sales force consolidation, and was now executing the termination of the losing reps – and the reassigning of brands to the winning reps. Core Brands, a division of Nortek, Inc., had announced the downsizing process in a conference call with their entire sale representative network on April 19th – laying out a process for which the desired result was to create a smaller network of fewer authorized sales representative companies presenting most, if not all, of the company’s ten brands.

Core Brands to Significantly Downsize Their Sales Rep Network

Nortek's Core Brands LogoJust three weeks ago, we had the opportunity to speak with Core Brands Senior Vice President of Marketing Paul Starkey, who confirmed information we had received from multiple sources about an impending announcement of significant changes in the way the company planned to go to market. Starkey confirmed much of the information we had uncovered, especially changes to systems and processes.

In a May 20th email communication with BEACON editor Ted Green, Miller apologized for his lack of responsiveness, saying that until he read last month’s BEACON he was unaware that attempts had been made by its editors to contact him. Miller, it seems, was on an aggressive two-week spin through Europe to attend a Tivoli event in Italy, a Munich high-end show in Germany, and finally a Lenbrook International distributor show.
