Chicago-based Vanco International has recently been releasing new products, especially audio products, at a furious pace. Once again, after barely stopping to catch their breath, the company is introducing five new audio products into their PulseAudio line of affordable, easy-to-integrate products for the residential and commercial markets.
Yep, you read that right. Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) today announced that they have launched an impressive looking 16-channel distribution amplifier aimed at the custom integration channel. Long deemed by many to be the king of Hi-Fi stereo sound, the company is making a power move into a decidedly integrator mainstay category. So say “Welcome” to the new CDA-16…
SnapAV announced this week that they are expanding their distribution line card by adding Ring products to their online portal, as well as in their Local Pro Stores in the U.S. The company will distribute not only the regular Ring line, but also their X Line, which is reserved for professional installers only.

Such was the first thought that came to mind when I learned that Crestron Electronics and Origin Acoustics – one, a home automation and integrated systems Jedi Master…and the other, a leading brand in premium architectural audio solutions – came together to create a new line of residential audio products under the Crestron brand.

Amazon.com Inc.’s secretive tech innovation development center, called Lab126, is said to be working on a more robust, step-up smart home control solution designed to be mounted into the wall, in a bid to take share in the custom integration channel. The move, first reported by Bloomberg News, is designed to take on major players such as SnapAV’s Control4 and other “professionally installed smart home control” providers.
LG Electronics announced this week that the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has awarded it an Emmy for its OLED TV at the 72nd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards event. The award is said to recognize LG’s “continuing innovations to enhance and evolve the televisions to meet reference studio specifications.”
Vanco International, a brand historically known largely for cables and accessories, continues their recent-history expansion of mission-critical integration solutions and overall A/V products. The company is displaying an uncommon level of savvy in design and in solution targeting, as management clearly has designs on expanding their impact in the industry.
