A couple of interesting announcements this week from Premium Audio Company (PAC), the Voxx Int’l subsidiary that markets the company’s premier audio brands such as Klipsch, Onkyo, Integra, Jamo, Pioneer, Elite, and more. First up, Rob Standley gets a big promotion to President of Technology and Product, a big step up. Second, and I would say counter-intuitively, the company says it’s lowering prices on many of its “most popular and best-selling audio solutions.”
Premium residential and commercial audio brands Theory Audio Design (Theory) and Pro Audio Technology (PRO) announced today the appointment of Marc Bertrand as Chief Operating Officer of both entities. Bertrand is said to have a long and highly-regarded history that will greatly assist both brands in their market growth initiatives.
Crestron Electronics announced today that John Clancy, the current Executive Vice President of Residential, is being elevated to Chief Sales Officer, effective immediately. As the company’s top sales executive, the company says that Clancy “will lead and unify the global Crestron sales organization to drive market growth and enhance customer satisfaction.”
Nice North America announced this week that it has appointed Mark Ohlwiler as its new Regional Sales Manager in the West region. Ohlwiler’s appointment was effective as of April 3, 2023.
Well-respected high-performance A/V manufacturers sales representative firm Redwood Marketing has announced this week that veteran sales professional Phil Jackson has joined the firm, boosting its manpower and market coverage. The appointment of Jackson is effective immediately and the company says the addition “reinforces our position in the marketplace.”
Azione Unlimited announced that it has elected Savant Senior Vice President of Services & Customer Operations Angela Larson to its advisory board. Unique to the buying group scene, Azione’s advisory board consists of five dealer members and five vendor members who all work together with the goal of “creating, expanding, and implementing the organization’s mission.”
Parasound announced this week that it has hired well-regarded audio engineer Darren Myers to its team. An expansion of the company’s engineering group, it struck me immediately that with this announcement new owner David Sheriff was already delivering on his promise to expand the company’s product design and engineering team.
Origin Acoustics announced this week that Jeff Coombs, founder of respected brands James Loudspeaker (now owned by Sonance) and Ambisonic Systems (now owned by Origin Acoustics) died on Monday, February 20, 2023. Coombs, age 69, passed away from cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Parasound announced today that it has appointed Larry Bennett, a well-known audio industry veteran, as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The company says that this is the first step in new owner David Sheriff’s plan to revitalize the company.
AAMP Global announced today that Alex Camara, CEO of AudioControl for the last decade, will leave the company “to pursue new opportunities.” This change in Camara’s status will be effective on March 1, 2023.
