In a letter to dealers sent Thursday evening, Kaleidescape CEO Cheena Srinivasan says the company is back in business, but in a leaner, lower overhead way. The news, which the industry rumor mill was buzzing about all day Thursday, is a bit of a surprise considering the company was completely shut down just a couple of weeks ago.

Azione Unlimited Collides with Kaleidescape
Azione Unlimited, the retail buying group, announced this week that they have added Kaleidescape to their roster of vendors supporting the organization. According to their vendor listing on the groups website, this now brings their roster to 40 vendors with direct relationships, as well as more available through distributor partnerships.

Starting first thing this morning, our office was inundated with multiple sources contacting us by phone and email to tell us that something big was happening over at Sunnyvale, CA-based, media-server company Kaleidescape. While there were minor variations on the stories we received, they all came down to the same thing – an exit of several employees, including some top executives, from the company.
