Well-known industry executive Bob Weissburg has joined Fidelity Imports, distributor of fine high-end audio gear, as its Director of Business Development. With a long career in top management with companies like Sony and D&M, Weissburg is well-respected by the dealer community.
The ALERT has learned that Bob Weissburg has resigned from his position at Gibson Guitar effective immediately. The surprising news comes just three months after Gibson announced it had hired Weissburg, the former President of Sales and Marketing for the Americas at D&M Holdings. Gibson had appointed Weissburg to a newly created position of Global Executive Vice President.

Weissburg Leaves Gibson Guitar & Onkyo
<March 28, 2012> Earlier this month, the ALERT reported that ex-D&M President Bob Weissburg had joined Gibson Guitar as its global executive vice president. <January 4, 2012> Sources are telling the Beacon that D&M Holdings is close to announcing a new President of Sales & Marketing for the Americas, a position that has been vacant ever since the company parted ways with former President Bob Weissburg in August 2011. According to these sources, D&M will announce shortly, perhaps as soon as next week’s CES, that it has selected Brian Poggi to be Weissburg’s replacement.
