Kaleidescape announced on Wednesday that they have appointed Craig Sholder as chief revenue officer (CRO). The appointment is effective immediately.

As its new CRO, Sholder will be responsible for Kaleidescape’s worldwide sales and customer support. He is said to come to the company with more than 25-years of experience in “entertainment technology businesses globally.”
The company says that Sholder will leverage this experience in preparing and executing strategic plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams, partners, dealers, and representative firms.
Arriving at a Critical Time
Kaleidescape says this appointment brings Sholder into the company at a “critical time.”

The company calls Sholder an “…ambitious sales and business development leader…” Prior to joining Kaleidescape, Sholder was a strategic advisor to WiVu – an interesting company that partners with hospitality venues to offer rentable private media spaces to gather with friends and family and view movies, sports, or TV shows that are shared favorites.
Background Includes WiVu, Transformation Entertainment Group, and Christie Digital Systems
Before WiVu, he was Vice President of Business Development for Transformation Entertainment Group, a technology distributor and service provider.
Perhaps more pertinent for custom integrators, Sholder’s background includes, according to the company, more than two decades at the widely respected Christie Digital Systems U.S.A. [Note: his LinkedIn profile says this tenure was 15 years and 9 months.] At Christie, he rose to become their Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning and was involved in many major deals for the company…including several acquisitions.
Prior to that role, he headed up Christie’s entertainment solutions business where he led their global sales force and engineered several beneficial partnerships with major Hollywood studios, movie theaters, and technology providers.
