Daisy, the new national brand that is both acquiring and franchising custom integration businesses, announced today that it celebrated the Grand Opening of its newest franchise location in Ocala, Florida on January 25th. This new location, owned and operated by Bert Herrero, joins the ever-expanding Daisy universe.
But wait! That name…Bert Herrero…sounds familiar. Isn’t he already a part of the Daisy organization?
Read on to learn the interesting twist in this story
Bert Herrero was the owner of First Priority Audio, a custom integration business based in Pompano Beach, Florida. First Priority Audio has been serving the Pompano Beach market since 2001. Herrero is well known and respected in the custom integration community and in July 2023, he was approached by Daisy about a potential partnership.
Herrero Becomes a Daisy ‘Ambassador’
About one year later in July 2024, Daisy acquired First Priority Audio. As part of that deal, Herrero became a Daisy Ambassador, helping to spread the word around the integration community about the unique advantages to integrators of becoming a franchise of the company.
And now, about another half year later, Herrero has decided to start another custom integration business, this time in Ocala, FL. And…this time…as a Daisy franchisee. That is an interesting twist…the franchisor becomes a franchisee.
From Zero to Launch in Just a Matter of Months
According to Daisy in its announcement, Herrero has hit the ground running with a team in place and a fully up-and-running operation in just a matter of months. No doubt, the company’s franchise tools helped to turbocharge the process of getting a new business set up and running.
Opening in Ocala is an exciting milestone. It’s the perfect time to bring our vision of seamlessly connected living to this vibrant community. We’re thrilled to be able to offer local homeowners and builders technology solutions and ongoing service for their homes.

Shows ‘How Committed Daisy is to Supporting the Entrepreneurial Goals’ of Franchisees
The company says this development is a “significant step” in its continuing expansion, by “…showing how committed Daisy is to supporting the entrepreneurial goals of its new franchisees.” Actually, it is remarkable that it is apparently committed to supporting the entrepreneurial goals of its employees! Even though Herrero was a contract employee of the company, he told me that Daisy supported his idea of launching a new custom integration business as a franchisee from the very first day he approached them.
Our team worked closely with Bert to help him launch the Ocala branch on time. Bert is an incredible leader, not only driving his team to success but also within the Daisy organization. We’re really excited for Bert to bring his leadership to this team and our solutions to clients in The Villages and the surrounding area.
