Emerald Reports 4th Qtr & Full Year Fiscal 2024 Results; Events Grow, Content Struggles

Emerald Holding, Inc. (NYSE: EEX), the parent company of Emerald Expositions, CEDIA Expo, and publications CEPro and Commercial Integrator, announced the financial results of its fourth quarter and full year of Fiscal 2024 earlier this month. Results showed modest revenue growth and a return to profitability as the COVID years continued to disappear in the rearview mirror. The company has acquired more shows in the first quarter and is feeling good about 2025.

Still, its reorganized Content segment continues to be troubled.

Owner of CEDIA Expo, CEPro & Custom Integrator is Challenged

Emerald Holding, Inc. (NYSE: EEX) reported its third quarter (3Q) of Fiscal 2024 financial results on Wednesday prior to the market open and it was a tough result with revenues flat – even with newly acquired shows included – and net income dropping to a double-digit million dollar net loss. The company announced it was engaging in a tougher “portfolio optimization” plan to cut unprofitable events and add newer, more profitable options.

Emerald Expo Shows Big Increases in 2nd Qtr of Fiscal ’23; Revenues Up 21%, Losses Up 1,057%

Mixed Results from Owner of CEDIA Expo and CEPro

Emerald Holding, Inc. (NYSE: EEX) (Emerald) owner of Emerald Expositions, a leading B2B exposition company, as well as the CEDIA Expo, CEPro, and Commercial Integrator media properties, announced its financial performance in the second quarter of fiscal 2023. While results were mixed with both increased revenues and increased losses, the company struck an optimistic tone, saying it is on track to generate $400 million in revenues and $100 million in “Adjusted” EBITDA (a measure of profits) in the current fiscal year.
