March 2, 2012 by Ben Leave a Comment

HTSA Logo<March 1, 2012> The Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) announced today that it has created a new Director of Marketing position that it believes will dramatically increase support for HTSA members with dynamic new programs. The new Director of Marketing is Kathleen Marini.

The role of this new position will be to create “effective new media strategies and programs.” The Director of Marketing will work with group vendors and members to create new programs that will drive demand generation. HTSA believes that these new programs will be beneficial in helping members go to market more effectively.

Marini is said to have over 25 years of marketing experience that includes strategic planning, program development, eMarketing and social media, PR and more. According to the HTSA, Marini has experience with a wide range of sizes and types of companies.

Most recently, Marini was with Panduit – a company that marketed networking and electrical solutions. Before that, she worked with companies such as Alcatel, NEC and 3Com where she “grew market share and revenue in various channel and marketing director positions.”

“This is an important strategic investment for HTSA as we strengthen our resources to provide vastly improved marketing services and support with an increased ability to generate demand and new clients for our members,” Bob Hana, Managing Director of HTSA said in an prepared statement. “This is a key role whose primary mission is to work closely with members and manufacturers to create new and effective programs helping HTSA members go to market more effectively. Kathleen’s experience, passion and drive are perfect for this and I’m excited to have her join us.”

Adds Kathleen Marini, “The adoption of social media, the dramatic growth of content marketing and the untapped opportunities in web marketing to compliment traditional marketing make this a very exciting time at HTSA. I look forward to working with our members and vendors, understanding their goals and resources and by working together we can drive demand and strengthen the businesses of our HTSA members.

To contact Kathleen, email kathleen@htsa.net or call 708-205-9292.
