Sonance, an industry-leading custom integration (CI) brand renowned around the world as a top marketer of the finest luxury audio products, announced this week that it has expanded its relationship with WAVE Electronics, a leading specialty CI distributor, to one in which it will offer the full Sonance line, further increasing its support for the luxury CI channel. This partnership looks to boost availability and support for Sonance brands throughout WAVE’s expanding service area, predominantly in the Southwest and West regions.

It was just last week when I told you about WAVE Electronics acquiring another CI specialty distributor, KOA Electronics. This acquisition boosted WAVE’s presence to 16 locations in 6 states. And now, with the expansion of Sonance in its assortment, it would seem to get yet another boost to its business.
The same could be said for Sonance, who said in a prepared statement that the partnership was “to bolster their growth and support of the luxury CI channel.”
A ‘Strategically Positioned’ Relationship
Empowering WAVE as a full line distributor was the natural next step in Sonance & WAVE’s decade long partnership. Expanding the Sonance line, including Visual Experience, new Mariner MX Series, and Sonance Landscape Series, to WAVE’s already strong CI portfolio of products, will only serve to solidify WAVE Electronics’ position as a leading one-stop-shop destination for dealers.

Sonance says that it has strategically positioned this expanded relationship with WAVE, “…to influence integrators in the market with little exposure to the Sonance brand.” As part of that process, the company has engaged Steve Scharp, owner of Global Solutions AV. Sonance says that Steve’s (and his team’s) role will be to “provide tactical leadership and support” for the WAVE branches. Steve will work in concert with the requisite local Sonance representative as they get this expanded partnership underway.
