San Diego, CA-based Wrensilva, maker of high-performance, hand-crafted console music systems, has launched a new version of its Studio model console in an attractive White Oak finish. While this finish has been available on both their M1 and The Standard models for some time, this is the first time it is available for its Studio model, which was introduced earlier in 2026.

Wrensilva occupies a unique space in tech; it offers a product that creatively blends today’s technology into a form factor once dominant many years ago. I refer, of course, to the console record player-based music system that once populated millions of living rooms across America – including the living room of my family’s home when I was a kid.
Imagine a console attractively designed with a more modern sensibility, with genuine handcrafted hardwood woodwork, with an upgraded turntable, electronics, and speakers for what is effectively a better-designed, higher-performance two-channel component audio system in a box. But an attractive box you’d be proud to display, with an easy-to-access and use music system that easily fills the space with music. A Most Requested Wood
Earlier this year, the company introduced a new, more compact console called the Studio. Like all Wrensilva models, the Studio is available with options for woodwork, grille colors, and the like. However, up to now, one wood tone was missing…White Oak. Now, the company says, “…this hardwood now lends its natural warmth and grain to the versatile Studio console.”
White Oak has always been one of our most requested woods by both interior designers and customers. We love working with it due to its durability and easy elegance. It has a certain soothing quietness to the grain and wood tone; I find the combination of the oak with the natural colored speaker screens lends a nice earthiness to a variety of decor schemes ranging from contemporary to even rustic interiors.

Big Attention Paid to Small Details on Grain Patterns
Wrensilva notes that this new White Oak finish for the Studio offers the same handmade construction as the model’s original finish. “The wood is milled to favor rift-sawn and quarter-sawn grain patterns over cathedral graining for a cleaner, more contemporary look, with subtle curly figuring where it occurs naturally,” the company’s announcement said. Then, the wood is finished with a water-based topcoat.
The Studio model measures 31 inches wide by 17 inches deep and 33 inches tall, making it appropriate for smaller to midsize spaces. But the company adds that there is no sacrificing the sonic presence for which Wrensilva is known. And, much like the company’s other models, Studio pairs natural speaker fabric and caramel leather pockets with the White Oak finish.
System Details
The company says that the Studio’s sound signature was crafted in collaboration with many music industry heavyweights. Renowned ears from music industry masters such as Grammy Award-winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin (John Mayer, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, and many more), Grammy- and Emmy-award-winning recording engineer, composer, and producer Giles Martin (son of George Martin, famous producer of The Beatles), Don Was (President of Blue Note Records), and more.
Studio features a floating, under-platter, belt-driven turntable along with a solid-state preamp. Ample power is supplied by a Wrensilva 100-watt-per-channel Class D ICEpower amplifier driving custom Signature 2-way bass reflex speakers with a 6½” Egyptian Papyrus Cone Woofers. The company includes added premium details, such as a ¾”-thick frosted acrylic platter, a bespoke one-piece magnesium tonearm, and an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge that “keeps every listen immersive and effortless.”
Carved Pattern Adds Visual Depth and Movement While Improving Sound
The main unit is balanced on top of a black anodized, brushed-aluminum pedestal. The front of the unit features a sculpted undulating pattern carved directly into the woodgrain. The effect of this carving is to add visual depth and movement to the unit. The company also notes that it “subtly improves the acoustic performance” as well. Behind that door is a leather-lined storage space for up to 40 record albums, so you have your favorite music right at your fingertips.
Wrensilva notes that Studio, like all of its record consoles, is an all-in-one solution “designed for modern listening, where vinyl and streaming happily share the room.” It’s a simple flip of the switch to select vinyl, Bluetooth, auxiliary, or optional Sonos multi-room.
