RTI, a leading brand in control and automation solutions and a division of AVPro Global, announced this week the launch of three new Intelligent Control Processors (ICP) – its fastest and most powerful control platform ever. In addition to these new models, the company has also launched a fully customizable programming ecosystem called Integration Designer 12 (ID12).
Learn more about these new solutions from AVPro Global brand RTI…
Just a few weeks ago, I told you about a new line of DSP matrix amplifiers designed for the commercial channel by RTI. Acquired by AVPro Global only about a year ago, it seems as though RTI is keeping the pedal to the metal with yet another exciting new product launch that refreshes and expands its offerings in both the residential and commercial channels.
This new RTI ICP line includes the ICP-2, ICP-4, and ICP-10 processors. The company says these new processors are its “fastest, most powerful control platforms delivering unmatched, fully scalable performance for every residential or commercial project.”
The new ICP line is compatible with a wide range of drivers, as well as commonly used I/O, such as IR, relay, RS-232, and RS-485 (ICP-4 & ICP-10). They also sense inputs alongside the network, simplifying the control of virtually any device.
Details on the New ICP Processor Models
ICP-2 – The compact size of the ICP-2 makes it ideal for tucking away in tight spaces, such as behind a TV, where other processors just can’t ever hope to fit. But don’t let that diminutive size fool you. The ICP-2 employs the same powerful processing engine as its bigger siblings. Also included are a built-in, dongleless Wi-Fi, a 2-port Ethernet switch for effortless system connectivity, and all connections located on one side of the chassis to smartly facilitate a low-profile installation. RTI says the ICP-2 is ideal for controlling single rooms and/or smaller commercial environments.
ICP-4 – The middle child in this new family of processors is the ICP-4. It is clearly designed for medium-sized and larger residential and commercial applications. You may be annoyed with your know-it-all neighbor…but you’re going to love this do-it-all addition to your assortment. The ICP-4 can effortlessly run complex drivers, as well as scale to accommodate larger ICP integrations as needed. It features separate Network Interface Cards that can either be used as a single switch or to accommodate two separate networks for added security. Fully multilingual, onboard IR, relays, sense inputs, RS-232, RS-485, and USB connectivity make system interface a snap.
The Most Sophisticated Solution for the Largest Scale Installations
ICP-10 – Finally, we come to the big brother of this family – the ICP-10. As you would expect, the ICP-10 is designed for implementation in the largest of large-scale installations. It features the line’s most powerful control and performance capabilities…performance you’ll need in our most sophisticated system installations. RTI says the ICP-10 is capable of running complex drivers, yet its efficient design allows it to take up only 1U of rack space…even while fully controlling Godzilla-sized residential or commercial systems. How big of a system can the ICP-10 handle? Because it can be paired with other ICP units, its upside scalability is “near-infinite,” RTI says.

Integration Designer 12 Programming Software
Joining the ICP processor lineup in this launch party is the all-new Integration Designer 12, fully customizable programming software from RTI. This is not the same old software with a fresh face. Integration Designer 12 is blazingly faster and offers literally hundreds of all-new features. RTI says ID12 “…is a robust programming platform with more than 200 new features and enhancements.”
The company has refined the software to include guidance and tips to support integrators going through the programming process. Using either built-in templates or fully customizing a UI, integrators can easily and quickly deliver the perfect user interface for each client. ID12 comes with powerful tools and resources for rapid project deployment, while also offering flexible customization via custom graphics, logos, pages, buttons, and backgrounds. However you get there, the client-customized UI can be deployed to any panel, remote, phone, tablet, or PC – on as many devices as the project requires. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.
Says the company, “ID12 is the only software capable of harnessing the power of the new RTI ICP processors, and software costs never change because, with RTI, there are no licenses, fees, or subscriptions.”
