AVPro Global acquires RTI

We got a blockbuster announcement late this afternoon as AVPro Global announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a well-known control and automation solutions provider for residential and commercial markets. AVPro Global is the parent company of AVPro Edge, AudioControl Pro, Bullet Train, Murideo, and ThenAudio and is an industry-leading provider of AV signal distribution solutions in the residential and commercial integration spaces.

With the addition of RTI, the company makes a bold move into the control and automation space and ties together its expanding universe of sector-specific brands.

Learn more about AVPro Global acquiring RTI Control…

It is really interesting to watch the continued growth of AVPro Global, which appears to have achieved lift-off in a dramatic fashion with this transformation from a quirky provider of well-designed over-built problem-solving solutions prized by integrators around the country…to a full-fledged systems and solutions provider. Only 22 months ago – less than two years – the company acquired AudioControl, dramatically expanding its AV options for the residential integration space. It was clear then that AVPro Global was vectoring to a higher plateau in the world of custom integration.

RTI – Experts in the Human-to-System Interface

Founded in 1992, RTI quickly became a highly reliable provider of remote control solutions that competed with the best on the market. As the industry shifted to more sophisticated IP-based networked entertainment systems, the company took its extensive knowledge of the human-to-system interface to the next level, designing more sophisticated and robust system control solutions.

Over the years, successive RTI management teams pursued a dramatic expansion of solutions offered to address even more user needs, as well as expanding into the commercial and hospitality channels. The RTI sphere of product solutions now encompasses remote controls, automation apps, processors, touchpanels, keypads, and AV signal routing solutions.

Positions AVPro Global to ‘Accelerate Innovation’ and ‘Expand Offerings’ for Integrators

AVPro acquiring RTI brings together two innovators in software-driven audio, video, and control integration, creating unique synergies that deliver greater value for our customers. Combining AVPro’s robust product development and manufacturing capabilities with RTI’s advanced control technologies and engineering expertise positions us to accelerate innovation and expand our offerings for our residential and commercial integration partners. We look forward to welcoming the talented RTI team to the AVPro family and working together to set new standards for connected experiences.

Jeff Murray, AVPro Global’s Founder and CEO

In a way, RTI will be the path to greater system capabilities, elevated graphical user interfaces, more intuitive system interactions…and tie the whole diverse AVPro Global universe together. Forget about vectoring to a higher plateau…AVPro Global is a rocket ship blasting off the launchpad and headed toward new and exciting worlds!

Acquisition Serves to ‘Amplify RTI’s Impact in the Control and Automation Space’

Joining AVPro Global represents an exciting opportunity to amplify RTI’s impact in the control and automation market. AVPro’s manufacturing scale and development resources will accelerate our product roadmap while ensuring the innovation and quality that RTI customers expect.

Joe Roberts, RTI CEO

From AVPro Global’s announcement: “Following its successful integration of AudioControl in 2023, AVPro plans to incorporate RTI’s respected legacy and strong product lines, including RTI and Pro Control branded solutions, into its broader portfolio. This move will expand AVPro’s market presence and deliver enhanced value to residential and commercial integration professionals.”
