La Verne, Ca-based Harmonia Distribution, a national distributor of select high-end, high-performance audio brands, has announced recent changes to its leadership structure in the wake of the departure of former President David Schultz, who left the company at the end of 2025. Taking over as President is Jesse Luna, who was promoted from his previous role as Vice President of the company. Also, Jeff Coates has assumed the role of Director of Sales. Coates was also an internal advancement from his previous position as US Sales Manager.

In mid-December, in a post that appeared on the Harmonia Distribution Facebook page, then-President David Schultz announced he had reached the end of a two-year agreement with the company and would be moving on. The post was a little nebulous, saying maybe he’d retire…or perhaps take a part-time job to keep his hand in. But he expressed a desire to spend more time with his family and assured all that Harmonia Distribution was in good hands and there should be no disruption of service.
Now we know just exactly who those good hands are that are stepping up to take the helm at a leading distributor in high-end audio.
Jesse Luna Promoted to Company President
In a formal announcement from Harmonia, we learn that Jesse Luna will assume the President’s role. The company announcement notes that Luna has been responsible for the day-to-day operations since 2024, which suggests stability is assured. Under Luna, Harmonia says, the business will continue to strengthen relationships and secure its position as a leading resource in the music-first audio category.

Jeff Coates Steps Up to Director of Sales
As the new Director of Sales, Jeff Coates is said to be the perfect person to ensure that the company’s sales efforts “continue to thrive and diversify.” In its prepared statement, the company says that Coates’ focus will be on growing a team of brand specialists over the ensuing six months. The Harmonia statement notes that Coates is already highly regarded for his ability to work with retailers by listening to their needs and offering expert guidance on Harmonia brands. Now, however, dealers can rest assured that they will have even greater access as he develops creative ways to help retailers thrive in an ever-changing market.
