Crestron Electronics, a leading industry manufacturer of commercial and enterprise-grade connectivity gear, as well as sophisticated but simple control and automation solutions for the smart home, has launched another Crestron Experience Center (CEC) in Mechelen, Belgium. Not only does this stunning facility showcase the depth and breadth of Crestron technology, but it also demonstrates the company’s commitment to EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Asia) markets as well as to the greater global community.

See more on Crestron’s latest Experience Center in Belgium…

Almost exactly one year ago, I told you about the launch of a spectacular new Crestron experience center in Manhattan with a follow-up story at this link. This facility not only presents a gorgeous design sensibility, but it was truly a strategically smart concept (no pun intended), in that it contained well-conceived and executed real-world vignettes for both commercial and residential spaces.

Perhaps one of the most surprising things about that Manhattan CEC grand opening is that not long before that, I had been treated to a tour of a Crestron Home Experience Center at the company’s headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ. Now, with this latest EMEA opening, it’s pretty clear that the company is dedicated to making a wide array of its technologies available for its partners, architects, designers, clients, and other interested parties to experience first-hand…around the world.

Immerse Yourself in Crestron Technologies

Like the CEC in Manhattan, the company says that the Mechelen Experience Center offers visitors an immersive experience, where they can experience the latest innovations in residential and commercial technology firsthand. If it’s like the Manhattan CEC, and I suspect it is, all products are active all the time, and visitors can literally engage with a keypad, or change a streaming channel with a Crestron remote control and instantly see how quick and easy it is to upgrade your home lifestyle…or to be more efficient on the job…thanks to Crestron technology.

The Mechelen Experience Center is more than just a destination — it’s an interactive journey that brings our vision for connected spaces to life. This new center reinforces our commitment to the EMEA market, giving our partners, customers, and integrators an opportunity to explore the breadth of Crestron’s solutions in action, and collaborate with us to create smarter, more human-centric environments.

A Wide Array of Technologies on Active Display

Crestron has an almost endless array of its most popular technologies on demo, including popular residential channel hits like the DM NVX AV-over-IP solution – to the ever-growing Crestron Home OS, “which unifies entertainment, lighting, climate, shading, and security,” the company announcement rightly notes.

On the commercial side, visitors to the Mechelen CEC can experience Crestron Flex UC devices for seamless hybrid collaboration…the AirMedia wireless presentation system, as well as the latest technologies in control, automation, and room scheduling. Also demo’d there is Crestron’s intelligent video portfolio that brings together content, collaboration, and control in a state-of-the-art boardroom. And, by the way, in that boardroom is the company’s truly remarkable Crestron Sightline Experience demonstration, with active smart cameras that facilitate a better hybrid meeting.

But really, the above description just barely scratches the surface of all that you’ll find in the Mechelen CEC. You really need to experience for yourself.

Why Mechelen, Belgium?

Crestron picked Mechelen for its strategic location. The company notes that the city is located about halfway between the major cities of Antwerp and Brussels, making it an ideal and significant transportation hub serving the region. At this newest CEC, the company welcomes dealers, clients, designers, architects, and visitors who, through an in-person experience, can better visualize the possibilities of Crestron technologies, as well as go hands-on to see how robust, capable, and easy-to-operate a Crestron solution can be.

This Experience Center is a tangible expression of our investment in the region. We’ve designed it to reflect the diversity of our EMEA markets, with spaces that speak to both residential and commercial audiences. It’s about showing up locally with global excellence. It’s a showcase of our vision in action.
