2024 CI Expo Brings the Latest Tech to N. Cal Integrators for the 15th Time

One of the longest-running custom integration technology events, the Northern California Technology Conference, known as the CI Expo, will hold its 15th annual dealer show this month at the Hilton Oakland Airport on May 30th. An early proponent of knowledge sharing and bringing the technology to you, this event is free for integrators. You can’t get a better deal than that!

The CI Expo is an event that makes life a little easier for busy integrators by bringing technology products, top brand executives, informative educational sessions, and thought-provoking keynotes to your local community. Many integrators often tell me how difficult it is to close up shop and take their team to a national event for several days. The business cost of that is just too high for many of them.

But with a regional event, the show comes to you, making it much easier to fit your team’s attendance at a major industry event into your schedule. Your favorite Northern California distributors and independent manufacturer sales representatives were some of the first to recognize that reality and to design a solution that helps keep you and your team up to speed on all of the latest developments in tech.

New Fewer Than 70 Brands at the 15th Annual CI Expo

This year, the CI Expo brings no fewer than 70 brands to you “in an interactive environment” the show’s promoters say. I’d say the emphasis is on interactivity, because as in years past this event brings lots of great education and offers attendees hands-on experience with all of the latest audio, video, lighting control, security, networking, and automation solutions for both residential and commercial applications.

For 15 years, the CI Expo has given systems integrators direct access to manufacturers and the opportunity to get technical questons answered, see product demonstrations, and find new solutions.

Interact with the Latest Technologies in Integration

What’s exciting and new this year? Promoters tell me you will find 4K and 8K video solutions, wireless audio and video systems, high-performance projectors, digital signage, smart home devices, surveillance cameras, lighting controls, networking equipment, and much, much more. Also new this year, the show says it will have a special expanded focus on cybersecurity, with seminars and exhibits on protecting clients’ networks and smart home systems.

With technology advancing so rapidly, integrators need events like the CI Expo to stay on the cutting edge. It gives us a chance to show them the latest and greatest gear in an interactive way, so they can determine what best fits their clients’ needs.

A Lot to Learn: Vendor Training, CEDIA Education, and a Lunch & Learn with Dr. Mark Stiving

Many of the attending brands will be presenting ongoing training on their lines throughout the event – a great opportunity to learn about new products or processes, or refresh and update your team’s knowledge on existing ones. In addition to this, CEDIA will also be offering training throughout the event as well.

Dr. Mark Stiving

Also at the 2024 CI Expo, you’re going to want to feed your belly and your brain with a special “lunch and learn” with Dr. Mark Stiving, author of “Selling Value” who will help equip you with – not philosophy – but with practical strategies and insights to help you understand your clients’ deepest needs, articulate your unparalleled value proposition, and to masterfully navigate objections. Dr. Stiving’s information can transform the way you approach sales and build a more profitable, value-driven business.

Space for this particular session is limited and will be filled on a first-come first first-served basis. So get there early!

High Profile Hosts Bring You High-Quality Content

Hosting this high-impact event are distributors Profit Line Distribution, Sierra Select Distributors, Custom Electronic Supply…and rep firms Redwood Marketing, Zone Pacific, ALR, and Fielder Marketing. The event is endorsed by CEDIA, the trade association and runs from 8:00 am to 4:00pm on Thursday, May 30th at the Hilton Oakland Airport, One Hegenberger Road, Oakland, CA.

Again, integrators can attend the 2024 CI Expo for free, and there is even free parking. For more information and to register for this important event, visit www.ciexpo.org (link takes you to a registration page on the Redwood Marketing site).
