ProSource Expands Leadership Team; Appoints Jim Pearse as President

March 25, 2022 by Ted Leave a Comment

Jim Pearse, new ProSource President

This week, ProSource announced that it was expanding its leadership team by adding well-known retail industry executive Jim Pearse as its new President. The duties of the president were once part of CEO Dave Workman’s role, but the group says this management team expansion is now necessary to support the group’s continued growth.

The group says that Pearce brings more than 30 years of retail experience to the organization, including key leadership roles at large, multi-regional dealers. Most recently, he was President and CMO of Wireless Advocates – a wireless communications 3rd party vendor at major retailers like Costco, where they provide and man a kiosk. He held this role through 2021 and continued to provide guidance to the company as an executive consultant until recently.

Pearse also held a key leadership position at Sears Holdings Corp. where he served as COO and Vice President of Consumer Electronics. But many in the industry came to know Pearse from his time at Ultimate Electronics – a company founded in 1968 by his father William Pearse and family. For Ultimate, Jim really cut his teeth in many important roles over many years…ultimately leading to his appointment as President from 2007-2011.

Jim’s strengths as an inclusive team leader with a track record of success stems from his background as an effective executive guiding the development, expansion, and profitability of both regional and national retail brands. ProSource is very fortunate to welcome an engaging and humble leader that values partnership as a foundation of success.

The statement released by the group says that Pearse has earned “…a reputation as an executive that maintains a high level of integrity and partnership focus.”

I am excited to apply my experience to helping ProSource members grow their business and support our relationships with our valued ProSource partners. My specialty retail consumer electronics roots were planted wihen I was 14 years old, working in my family’s Ultimate Electronics stores in Denver. I quickly developed a deep respect for the dynamics of growing a customer-focused, entrepreneurial business. I look forward to supporting the ProSource leadership team’s passion to leverage the scale and membership value of the organization to support our members and partners.
