Sioux Falls, SD-based AVPro Global is a rapidly expanding manufacturer and distributor of top custom integration brands, such as AudioControl, AVPro Edge, Bullet Train, Murideo, and Then Audio.

Approaching almost 32 years at AudioControl, Chris Kane has ridden the wave of growth for the brand over the years, as well as holding on tightly during the inevitable bumps in the roads during recessions, ownership changes, and market fluctuations. But through it all, he has remained an instrumental part of the success of the brand – a point apparently noticed and appreciated by new owners AVPro Global.
It can’t have been easy. It wasn’t all that long ago when then-owner Alex Camara tapped Kane to lead the charge into residential for the company. At that time, like most of the company, he was an executive entrenched in the company’s automotive electronics business. But Kane took the challenge and put his all into it, helping AudioControl become a significant brand for integrators all across the United States.
Oversee North American Business Development Initiatives
Now he faces his next challenge, fully integrating AudioControl’s business with AVPro Global’s other brands. The statement announcing the appointment says that Kane will “oversee NA business development initiatives including streamlining sales processes by unifying the AVPro brand portfolio under one experienced manager.”
Trust me, that is not as easy as you might think. And I can’t think of a better choice to lead that charge.
As Vice President of North American Residential Sales, Kane will report to newly-minted COO Mike Detmer. As the company notes in its announcement, “Kane, a known and trusted manager in the NA residential market, brings a wealth of experience and insight to leverage AVPro’s growth initiatives while providing added value to its customers.”

With 30 years of sales experience at AudioControl, it’s only natural to elevate Chris to manage the residential market for the entire AVPro brand portfolio in North America. A true road warrior, Kane spends more time face-to-face with dealers in their showrooms or at any of a plethora of trade shows than the average manufacturer executive.
