Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), part of the Sound United group, which was recently acquired by Harman (which itself is part of Samsung), announced today the expansion of its popular Px8 S2 over-ear headphone model by launching two new premium finishes. The Px8 S2 features a luxurious Nappa leather trim along with complementary aluminum detailing that all looks great in the new Midnight Blue and Pearl Blue finishes.

I first wrote about the Px8, the first iteration of the McLaren model, back in 2022 when the company introduced it as the top of its over-ear, premium headphone line. Since then, B&W’s Px8 S2 headphone has evolved into a very popular model for the company and has received numerous awards. Now, with more design options, the popularity is likely to continue to trend upwards as these finishes expand on the existing Onyx Black, Warm Stone, and McLaren Edition color options.
More Choices for Consumers
With the introduction of these two new finishes, Px8 S2 buyers now have their choice of five different colors to match their individual style. The company points out that, collectively, when you add up all available finishes of all available models (including Px7 S3 and Pi8), consumers have twenty-one models/designs to choose from.
The company says that this is “…the most extensive range of colors ever offered by the brand.” Choice is good!
B&W Takes a ‘Unique Approach’ to Design
Furthermore, B&W also believes that it features a “unique approach to design, which ensures that its premium audio products always look as good as they sound.” It is reasonable to believe that the fairly extensive range of models and finishes allows the company’s headphone line to address a whole range of personal user preferences in style and design.
B&W’s new Midnight Blue and Pearl Blue Px8 S2 headphones are available beginning today, April 22, 2026, for an MSRP of $799.
