Transformative Engineering Earns DPL Seal on HLE-4K

August 1, 2018 by Ted Leave a Comment

Transformative Engineering logoTransformative Engineering, an innovative black box solutions provider, announced today it has been awarded a DPL Labs Seal of Approval for its model HLE-4K, an HDMI 2.0 extender. The company says this is the second Seal of Approval its products have been awarded by DPL Labs, a testing and certification organization.

The company says its HLE-4K utilizes a customized foundation including HDBaseT Class B and delivers HDMI 2.0 full 4K with HDR extension up to 30 meters (100 ft). You get all that along with bi-directional IR over a single CAT6 UTP cable.

Transformative Engineering (TE) says that the motivation for creating the HLE-4K came from dealer requests for a reliable and reasonably priced 4K extender. They say that the HLE-4K is built with the same care and to the same uncompromising quality that they build into all of their products.

“We are exceedingly proud to be worthy of the second DPL Seal of Approval for a Full 4K UHD compatible HDBaseT HDMI extender,” said Jay Trieber, President of Transformative Engineering and Home Theater Concepts in Norwood, MA. “We all know DPL Approval is only awarded to HDMI equipment that tests to especially arduous and meticulous standards, TE’s products truly are designed for custom installers, by customer installers.”TE HLE-4K

Specifications on the HLE-4K:

  • 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 w/HDR
  • HDMI 2.0 spec of 18 Gbps data output
  • HDCP2.2 compliant, compatible with legacy HDCP (and previous HDMI)
  • Power requirement: 24V power supply (included)
  • Diagnostic indicator lights to monitor performance & operation
  • High quality steel case construction
  • Performance vs. Range: 1080p at 70 meters; UHD 4K at 40 meters; 4K/60Hz/4:4:4 w/HDR at 30 meters

DPL Laboratories is one of the leading digital testing laboratories that focuses on measuring true performance levels of cables and other digital transmission products. DPL stands for digital performance level, and DPL Labs seeks to measure true performance, often deflating marketing hype in the process.

Of Transformative Engineering’s HLE-4K, DPL Labs President Jeff Boccaccio says, “Great long distance product that tests beyond DPL’s reliability standards.”
