November 19, 2015 by Ted Leave a Comment

TiO logoTurn It On (TiO), a division of Anuva Automation that makes wireless multi-room home automation and entertainment systems, announced today that it has released a major software suite update called TiO 3.0. The main reason for this update is to incorporate the major system capabilities expansion announced last month at CEDIA Expo 2015.

See more on what’s been updated in TiO 3.0…

As we and others reported in October at the 2015 CEDIA Expo, TiO launched several new connectivity solutions including TiO Connect which facilitated the addition of many new potential subsystems into your TiO wired and wireless network. With this being the case, the company has now taken the added step to update their system software and their iOS and Android apps to access these newly added and expanded network features.

New features incorporated into this latest version of the software include contact closure functionality, IR control functionality and IP camera management. The company says that this new TiO 3.0 software also further improves audio integration, as well as MC-2 master coordinator and lighting controls for both the iOS and Android platforms.

New Streaming Options

Streaming entertainment fans will be pleased to hear that this update adds support for Rhapsody and Sirius XM Internet Radio. Also updated is the system metadata which now includes artists’ names to coincide with track titles.

The company noted that this new update also fixes a problem that was created with then Android 6.0 Marshmallow auto-update was distributed last week, creating issues for many Android users.

Quick Fix of Android Auto-Update

“The 3.0 app updates brings the plethora of recently released TiO Connect features into full control,” said Sanjay Patel, president of Anuva Automation. “The unexpected issue of the Android auto-updates was discovered last week and our team identified the problem while implementing a fix in less than 24 hours and we’re happy to announce that our users can easily fix any outstanding connection issues that arose.”

The new TiO 3.0 app can be downloaded for free at the Apple Store or Google Play. The company says that Master Coordinator version 3.0, Lighting version 2.0 and the new Android and iOS apps are complimented in the TiO 3.0 software update.
