Well-known and respected industry executive Peter Wellikoff has been appointed to the newly created position of Managing Director at Atlantic Technology. Wellikoff’s appointment was effective as of July 1st.

With a long illustrious career in a variety of predominantly audio industry executive roles, Peter Wellikoff is a seasoned executive that brings much to this new role at Atlantic Technology. Historically a niche audio brand, 34-year-old Atlantic Technology is said to be looking to expand its market presence and assortment and Wellikoff will be instrumental in driving the strategic planning to execute on these goals.
From Tandberg to KH Group (KEF) to Bowers & Wilkins to Meridian to Electrocompaniet, Wellikoff has held top leadership roles – most often CEO or President – at leading successful audio brands. As a leader, he was responsible for creating strategies, developing plans, and implementing the tactics that drove the successful growth of these companies.
As Managing Director for Atlantic Technology, a new position at the company, Wellikoff will advise on growth strategy, direct product development and brand-marketing initiatives all designed “to evolve the new vision” for the company, according to a prepared statement. Atlantic Technology, it appears, has big ambitions.
According to the announcement: “To fulfill its mission of broadening its market appeal, the company will revitalize its corporate identity as well as its product offerings in two-channel, surround, custom integration and personal audio, with new products to debut in 2024.”
It’s a tall order in a competitive industry. Wellikoff will certainly have his work cut out for him. It will be interesting to see where Atlantic Technology goes from here – especially with this new influence.
